News From Diverse Power
We have been made aware that some electric cooperatives have reported a rise in scammers posing as employees. The imposters call members’ homes threatening to disconnect electric service if not paid immediately by a prepaid money card.
Please be aware that Diverse Power will never contact you by phone about late/delinquent payments or threaten to disconnect your service. If you receive a call requesting or demanding payment from Diverse Power, do not provide payment information of any kind or any personal credentials such as usernames or passwords.
Also be aware that cyberactors may send emails with malicious attachments or links to fraudulent websites to trick victims into revealing sensitive information or donating to fraudulent charities or causes. Exercise caution in handling any email with a COVID-19-related subject line, attachment, or hyperlink. Also be wary of social media, texts, or calls related to COVID-19.
